The Hardy Ultradisc UDLA Fly Reel is a flagship in modern design and has an incredibly lightweight disc drag system that sets a new standard in the fly fishing world. This reel was also the ICAST Online Category Winner – Best Fly Fishing Reel.

This reel features a stunning and innovative frame styling that decreases weight and features an enclosed line guard design. This allows the use of ultra thin fly lines and running lines as well as leader only systems, popular in modern river fishing.

Each reel also features a multi-pad scaled disc drag system which is unregulated to allow for fine adjustments of the drag pressure. The reel is designed with a captive spool release that allows you to change spools effortlessly. The cap on the outside of the reel has been intelligently designed so it does not come all the way off when changing spools, giving you less chance of losing it.
