Hardy HBX Switch Rod

The new Hardy HBX Switch Rod gives you a middle-ground between the single and two handers in the range offering the best of the two worlds in terms of versatility and adaptability.

It allows you to switch between different casts and methods while out on the river. You can use an overhead single-handed cast when you have clearance or you can use a two-handed spey cast when there are trees behind you making these rods adaptable to almost any fishing situation.

Hand-built in Alnwick, England and brandishing Hardy's revolutionary SINTRIX 440 technology, the blanks are lightweight in the hand and provide an incredibly sensitive line feel. Paired with the raw power and strength you'd expect from a SINTRIX blank and with a fast-action recovery, the HBX gives you the ultimate control.

The handle is constructed out of premium FLOR-grade shive cork, expertly hand-turned on the laith to ensure a delicately smooth finish and perfectly shaped grip each time. The two-handed switch grip gives more room for control and presentation while still allowing the option of a one handed cast. Specifically placed hardwood and alloy spacers protects the rod from damage and further adds to the overall build and rigidity.

The rod features high-end a Fuji titanium stripper guide and REC black pearl recoil guides. With a stealth black finish and hand-written serial number on the blanks, the stunning appearance of the rod adds to the premium feel and experience that is the HBX.

The Hardy HBX Switch Rod is available in various models. It comes supplied in a soft cloth bag and with a premium black aluminium powder-coated rod tube complete with engraved end caps.
