The HBX Fly Reels draw on the heritage and craftsmanship of the Hardy Bros, combining cutting-edge modern cosmetics and technology with the hand-built quality of Hardy's made-in-England reels.

Designed to the exacting standards of Hardy's master craftsmen in Alnwick, the Hardy HBX Fly Reel carries on the tradition of excellence for which Hardy has been known for over 120 years whilst bringing them into the 21st century with state-of-the-art features and technologies.

The Hardy HBX Fly Reel has models that cater for both freshwater and saltwater scenarios, from brook Trout to Tarpon, and everything in-between. The Hardy HBX reels boast a solid construction, fully-machined from a solid bar of 6061 aluminium creating a truly substantial and rigid feel. They perform phenomenally and feature a useful captive spool release that allows you to change spools effortlessly.

HBX Freshwater
The smaller freshwater models are the 4/5 and the 5/6. These models feature a linear, maintenance-free Rulon disc drag system that provides you with impeccably smooth performance allowing you to go from light to heavy drag in seconds with the turn of a knob.

HBX All Water
The larger saltwater-safe carbon models are the 7/8, 9/10 and the 10/11. These models feature a carbon fibre disc drag system that offers ultra-smooth control and can generate up to 15lb of pressure.

The drag systems in both models are fully flushable with freshwater which will significantly increase the life of your reel and requires minimal maintenance.

The Hardy HBX Fly Reel features a gunsmoke finish with orange detailing throughout. It is available in a various models that you can choose from using our drop-down menu.
