Hardy Gel Spun Backing

The Hardy Gel Spun Backing offers incredible strength and is the perfect choice for when you need a large amount of backing to fill the maximum capacity on your fly reel.

With a 45lb breaking strain, this backing has excellent strength and abrasion resistance with a super low diameter for giving you maximum backing capacity. Gel spun is able to provide more than 50% backing capacity compared to Dacron.

This backing is great for salmon and saltwater use or any application when maximum capacity is required. It also has a high-vis yellow colour so you can see the difference between your fly line and backing.
