Description / Hardy Beefy Perfect

The Hardy 'Beefy' is the Ashes Victory Perfect, Named after Ian 'Beefy' Botham with a limited production run of only 50 numbered reels these are certain to become future classics.

In the summer of 2013, England beat Australia in the hotly contested biannual series of Test match cricket known as The Ashes, making three Ashes wins in a row for the first time since 1981. The 1981 series is popularly known popularly known as Botham's Ashes, due to the remarkable performances of Ian Botham with both bat and ball.

As cricket fans gear up for a rare ‘back-to-back' Ashes beginning in Australia in December, Hardy are pleased to announce the release of our Limited Edition 2013 Ashes Victory Perfect Reel, produced in association with Sir Ian Botham, himself a keen angler.

Sir Ian comments: "I've used Hardy tackle all my life, and The Hardy Perfect reel is an absolute dream to fish with, with that iconic sound - you can hear it up and down the river when a fish screams off! With an emotional connection for so many anglers, the Perfect was the obvious choice for a reel to commemorate the Ashes victory"

Designed and manufactured in Alnwick, England, this special reel features a hand polished gunmetal anodised finish, ivorine handle, revolving line guard, and of course that iconic Perfect sound.

Here at Angling Active we have one reel exclusively available which is numbered 012
