We have put together the Greys GR70 Salt Fly Outfit, perfect for the Saltwater fly angler.
This kit includes the Greys GR70 Salt Fly Rod which is 100% saltwater safe and made with 3M Powerlux technology for ultimate durability and performance.
This has been matched with the Greys QRS cassette fly reel and to complete this combo, you have the choice between the Airflo 40+ Sniper Fly Line, the Airflo Tropical Permit/Tarpon Fly Line or the Airflo Super-Dri Tropical Bonefish Fly Line
The Airflo 40+ Sniper Fly Line is designed for cold saltwater environments and has a aggressive short head.
All Tropical fly lines are from the Airflo Tropical range and feature a Tropical/Climate Control coating to handle the heat and demands of saltwater environments.
Along with this outfit, you will also be given our professional line loading service, including free backing and loops where required. All you have to do is select your choice of left or right hand wind and we'll load your lines onto your reel, ready for you to fish with.
About the Greys GR70 Salt Fly Rod
Designed for the saltwater angler is the Greys GR70 Salt Fly Rod. Brand new from the Greys 2016 rod series, this rod is 100% saltwater safe and is built from crucial components to preserve the life span of the rod and strengthen the rod's durability.
This rod works equally as well as an impressive pike and predator fly rod and features a compact 4 piece construction. The Salt Fly Rod is the superior and new version of Greys XF2 Carnivore Fly Rod and features excellent power, casting distances and fast recovery.
Featuring the 3M Powerlux technology built into the high modulus carbon, this constructs the Salt Fly Rod into a hard wearing and robust rod that has incredibly durable properties. The technology has a unique process of dispersing the nanoparticles throughout the rod's construction in a uniformed and compact technique that builds an incredibly strong core.
This technology also allows the rod's weight to be surprisingly light considering the power and strength provided from the materials. The lightness and strength of the rod provides an incredible fishing range as you'll be able to pull in some of the biggest catches and feel the smallest of nibbles. Big tropical saltwater game, or small local seatrout are both equally as enjoyable with this capable rod.
The GR70 Salt rod includes specially designed saltwater fittings to withstand against corrosion as well as last longer when you are spending a lot of time fishing in saltwater environments.

About the Greys QRS Fly Reel
The Greys QRS Fly Reel utilises a ground-breaking, cassette spool Quad Rating System that provides anglers with a reel that is highly versatile, allowing you to use the one reel for a variety of fishing situations.
This reel is built from a robust, durable and light weight full block of 6061 bar stock aluminium. The reel also includes a Rulon disc drag, providing you with impeccably smooth performance and allowing you to go from a light to heavy drag in seconds with a turn of the drag knob.
The Quad Rating System uses cassette spools that allow you to fish 4 different line sizes on the same reel. This not only provides convenience but makes it adaptable to be used in different situations, on your different weighted rods and with multiple lines.
The spools are made from strong, lightweight polycarbonate and can be easily changed using the unique QRS locking system. Simply flick the switch to release the spool and change to the desired size you require.
Each fly reel is supplied with 4 cassettes, two of each line size. As an example, the 5/6/7/8 reel will be supplied with 2 x 5/6 cassettes and 2 x 7/8 cassettes. Each reel is also supplied with identification pins as well.
The QRS keeps in the same design as the newer fly reels from Greys, including an armoured construction throughout, with a modern look. The reel has a dark grey colour, with red colour accents for stand out contrast.

About the Airflo 40+ Sniper Fly Line
To help people catch more fish, Airflo have developed this new aggressive short head 40+ Sniper Fly Line. The Sniper features an easy casting condensed head with a thick tip diameter, ideal for turning over heavier flies.
This line is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater applications as this line has a saltwater safe, polyurethane coating. This coating additionally improves line performance, durability, UV resistance and chemical resistance. The supple coating is also enhanced to suit cooler water temperatures and the low stretch power core provides improved line stability.
While primarily designed as a Saltwater fly line, the sniper has a popular fan base in the UK with Pike and predator anglers thanks to it's ability to easily cast and turn over large, heavy flies.
The Sniper also features a Dual Head Design which allows the line to perform as well for lesser casters as it does for advanced casters. Lesser casters can cast the line with only the front 15 feet of the line past the rod tip while the more capable casters will aerialise the entire 30ft head to achieve maximum distance.
The Airflo 40+ Sniper Fly Line is available in a range of densities to suit the needs of all conditions and you can choose your choice of line from our drop down menu.
The Floating and Intermediate lines in this range are looped both ends. The Sink 3, Sink 7 and Custom Cut are looped in the rear only.

The Airflo Tropical Permit/Tarpon Fly Line has incredible castability with immense hooking power for handling big tarpon and permit species. There is a floating Super-Dri version and an Intermediate version available in this line.
These lines feature an incredibly strong and durable 40lb Power Core with only 6% stretch for bettering handling performance, control, sensitivity and hook set. Both lines also include a Ridge coating which reduces the lines surface area in contact with the rod guides and increases durability.
The Climate Control technology ensures this line won’t wilt or tangle in Tropical environments and both lines are 100% 100% PVC free. The floating density of this line features Super-Dri technology which helps the line float much higher and repel water and dirt for maximum durability.

The Airflo Super-Dri Tropical Bonefish fly line features a Super-Dri Ridge Tropical coating for increased shootability and to float higher in hot weather climates.
The balanced taper design gives technical accuracy and delivery and the Power Core has only 6% stretch to improve all round casting control, sensitivity and hook set. The Ridged coating allows the line to pass smoothly through the guides and reduces the line’s surface area contact for better shootability, smoothness and longevity.
The line also includes a Tropical Climate Control coating. This means the line won’t wilt or tangle even in the heat and is designed to handle temperatures between 68°F - 100°F.
The Airflo Super-Dri Tropical Bonefish is micro looped on both ends for fast rigging.
