About the GR70 Fly Rod
If you thought the Greys GR50 fly rod was a winner, you might want to take a little step back and make some room for the real star of the Greys GR rod series. Presenting, brand new for 2016, the Greys GR70 Fly Rod.
For all the fans of the Greys rod range, the GR70 is part of the new GR series and is a prestigious, more powerful upgrade from the GR50 that will seriously impress you. The GR70 fly rod has been specifically created and designed for use in both stillwater and river fishing.
The GR70 Fly Rod is ideally suited for anglers who have more experience and have developed a good sense of timing and casting techniques. Combining these kinds of fly fishing skills with the GR70 and you will feel like you are literally casting magic.
The GR70 is built from high modulus carbon and this innovative material produces a very light and very sensitive rod body. The GR50 was made of high intermediate modulus carbon that is slightly less stiff than the GR70. The GR70 fly rod's stiffness results in a much more durable and strong core rod that is then specially engineered to avoid any kind of brittleness.
The high modulus carbon construction combined with a fast action, makes the GR70 incredibly powerful and high performing. The stiffness along with limited flexibility allows the rod to be cast effortlessly when fishing in windy weather. It will also help you to generate longer casts and the strength will help you bring in a fish quicker and easier, especially larger fish.
These 4 piece rods have high quality and creative design features including a 2 part skeletal reel seat with an aesthetically stunning carbon woven spacer. The skeletal reel seat is a benchmark in handle construction design and the light weight materials will keep your rod consistently light in weight from top to bottom.
Additionally, the GR70 also features rod line up I.D marked dots to allow you to seamlessly line up your rod eyes with complete ease so you can set up your rod and get out on the water much quicker.
The Greys GR70 Fly Rod is a dark, olive gunmetal grey coloured rod with silver highlights and features a superior, high quality AAA cork handle. The rod is available with a reverse half wells handle on the 9ft #5 and the 9ft #6. The rest are supplied with full wells handles with fighting butts.
Each rod is supplied with a high quality rod tube and is covered by Greys Warranty. Please visit Greys Fishing website for more detail.

About the GTS700
The Greys GTS700 Fly Reel is a highly impressive reel that is part of the GTS series from Greys. The GTS700 is the replacement for the popular GX700 Cartridge Reel.
We think that the GTS700 reel is superior in comparison to it's younger brother, the GTS500, in it's design and construction. The GTS500 is certainly impressive for the price but the GTS700 boasts quality, durability and is certainly far more advanced in it's build.
The main difference between the reels is that the GTS700 has a strong and long lasting aluminium bar stock 6061 frame construction and features a die-cast spool carrier. When we handled the reel, we could feel the combination of these two materials working together. The reel feels surprisingly light in weight but you can easily feel that it is sturdy and long lasting.
The GTS700 features certainly impressed us. The large arbour design increases line retrieve speeds that provides superior capacity for more than enough backing and the Dual Rulon drag system gave us much smoother line control.
Another point we love about the reel is the clear polycarbonate cassette spools. With the GTS700, you receive three in the package and they all feature a line ID system. This very attractive feature helps you identify the type of line you are using with the supplied pins and makes the process of identifying your line when you’re fishing incredibly easy.
Additionally, this reel makes changing to left or right hand wind effortless due to the “tool-less” feature and changing spools is a quick and easy process as well.
With it's powerful, high quality and performance combined with easy use and smooth control, we think the Greys GTS700 reel is a very attractive purchase.
The two sizes of the Greys GTS700 is 5/6/7 and 7/8/9 and these sizes present an option for the angler to balance their #7 rod with the smaller or larger versions of the reels. This is a feature we have appreciated within our store when suggesting suitable matches to customer's existing or new rods and lines.
The GTS700 is an ideal and reliable choice of reel for when you are fly fishing for Trout and Salmon.
The Greys GTS700 fly reel is available in sizes 5/6/7 and 7/8/9 and is supplied in it's own reel case with 2 additional spools. We recommend you purchase the correct reel size for your fly rod and fly line.

About the Greys Platinum Fly Line
The Greys Platinum Fly Line is one of the best performing all round fly lines on the market today. The extended front and rear tapers and the long belly of the line gives tremendous distance and subtle presentation.
The low-diameter running line has less air resistance for increased line speed, easier mending and longer distance. The subtle, memory-free coating irons out loops and makes for long, smooth casts and great line presentation.
The floating lines are available in either heron grey for stealth or high-visibility orange for increased visibility at distance. Completing the range are three sub-surface lines, an intermediate, medium sinking and fast sinking line.
