5 Big , bold and awesome .

I know not cheap , but there's a lot of material in these and come with a quality hook included . I tied a short length of wire by whipping it along the shank of the hook , and placed a size 1 stinger hook pointing upwards so the tail has a hidden extra hook point as these are long flies . I then tied in a length of 30 IBS Savage Gear 49 strand wire around 20 inches with a loop at the opposite end and some ESP shrink tube , all available downstairs in the shop . Ps the Savage Gear 49 strand knotable wire in blood red is cool and easy to work with . I loop that to around a meter to a meter and a half of 30ibs Seagar Ace Fluorocarbon and it will turn over any big fly with ease . This fly swims superbly and mimics a Jack Pike which Pike just can't resist . Give one a go , and you won't look back , and try adding that stinger hook for extra confidence .
