This pattern was designed by Hans Van Klinken in 1984 and has proved to be one of the most successful dry patterns of all time. Although originally designed to represent an emerging caddis, it is suggestive of many flies.

The body sits low in the water and the busy parachute hackle keeps the fly afloat even in fast turbulent water. This selection includes a variety of sizes and body colours with white or fluorescent wings for good visibility or CDC wings for added buoyancy.

This is an excellent pattern for trout and grayling which has recently proved successful for carp in both rivers and lakes.
