Nets

Coarse fishing nets are available in various different shapes and sizes to suit different species of fish and fishing situations. Round net heads are commonly used for general coarse fishing when float or feeder fishing. They are available in different frame sizes to suit different size fish and with different style mesh. Smaller nets are perfect for fishing for silverfish whilst larger nets are suitable for bigger fish like carp and bream. Micro mesh nets are ideal for stopping hooks and rigs tangling in the mesh whilst bigger mesh is easier to manoeuvre through the water.
Specimen nets, often triangle shaped consisting of two arms and a spreader block, are used to land bigger fish such as carp and barbel as they offer a bigger, deeper net. Keepnets are often used for match fishing and allow anglers to safely retain the fish they’ve caught in a session to be weighed before being released.
