YOU WILL NEED…

1. Take a shallow screw/screw in jig head and screw it into the front of the lure, ensure the screw goes in straight and is located in the centre of the nose of the lure. This is vital to ensure the lure runs straight.

2. Take the stinger tackle and use a split ring to attach it to the shallow screw/screw in jighead, then place the stinger spikes in the belly of the lure. Ensure these run down the centre seam of the lure and the hooks are aligned. This will ensure the lure runs straight and does not keel over on one side during the retrieve. If it’s a pre-tied stinger the shallow screw will already be attached to the stinger tackle.

The shallow screw allows you to work the lure in shallow water effectively. Screw in jigheads allow you to work the lure much deeper. These jig heads come in various weights from 5 grams and up. Allowing you to find the perfect presentation for the day.

Screw in jigheads will make your lure fall through the water nose first. If you require a slightly different presentation, you can use screw in weight balancers. These can be screwed into the belly of the lure, allowing the lure to fall through the water horizontally – depending on placement.

The weight balancers also help the action of the lure on the retrieve, ensuring it runs straight every time. These weight balancers have a groove in them to accommodate your stinger tackle, keeping your lure streamlined and minimising the chances of weed/debris being picked up by the stinger tackle.
