Abu Garcia MKII 506

The Abu Garcia MKII 506 is a closed faced fixed spool reel that is designed to be used for river match fishing, grayling fishing and trotting on rivers. This reel is an upgraded design from the original one in the 1970’s.

The classic style and design of this reel allows anglers to enjoy a reel with a traditional design yet with modern technology developments. The reel has an advanced polymeric body with an aluminium front cone and a closed face which protects the spool, reduces the risk of tangles and decreases any chance of backlash.

The reel has an ultra smooth Syncro drag which has additional carbon washers for improved efficiency. The gear components have been drastically improved upon and make the reel feel smoother and more powerful.

The push button/pin release mechanism is more reliable and the ceramic coated line pin that reduces wear and increases winching power. The reel is also saltwater protected for enhanced durability and longevity.

The Abu Garcia MKII 506 is primarily black in colour with red and dark chrome highlights throughout. The reel is available in one size and is supplied with 3 shallow spools, 1 deep spool and a deluxe reel case.
