Stormsure - a common alternative to the aquasure product is designed to repair and strengthen most materials. No wading angler should be without a tube of this product.
Stormsure can be used to repair many things not just waders. When used correctly it can repair holes and leaks in Shoes, Boots, Waders, Tents, Waterproof Clothing, Wetsuits and Drysuits even Car Soft Tops!
Directions:
Clean off mud and dirt with soap and water. Degrease the surface with stormcure accelerator or alcohol. Apply stormsure directly to the area and spread an extra 5mm around the damaged area. Keep flat and allow to cure.
Stormsure is touch dry in 2-4 hours and is fully cured after 12 hours.
Seams
Brush a thin layer of stormsure over the seam area. No waterproof tape is required. When cured dust with talcum powder to get a non stick surface.
Rips and Tears
Cover the front of the damaged area with sticky tape. Apply stormsure on the reverse side, over the tape and overlapping the edge of the hole by 5mm. Remove the tape after 12 hours for a flush and tidy repair.
Top Tip
When storing your tube of Stormsure ensure you have squeezed out any excess air and store the tube in your freezer. This will prevent the adhesive curing and keeps the tube fresh ready for your next repair. Just remember to warm the tube back up to room temperature before you use it!
