RIO developed the T-14 as a tungsten alternative to lead. It is supple, does not kink and sinks like a stone!
T-14 (9 inches per second) weighs 14 grains per foot and is best for single-hand rods from 8 through 12 weight, and tips for double-hand rods.
T-17 (10 inches per second) weighs 17 grains per foot and is the heaviest and fastest sinking material of them all to make light work of getting depth and casting big flies.
For 2011 each 30ft coil features a welded loop in both ends, allowing anglers to cut to the desired length and weight.
