Hardy Ultralite CLS Reel

The Hardy Ultralite CLS Reel is one of the most beautifully designed fly fishing reels on the market that has many features that are unique to this specific reel. The Ultralite CLS has a durable fully anodised aluminium construction that provides you with the ultimate reliability and high performance.

This reel's most unique and advanced feature is the innovative CLS system, which stands for Cassette Locking System, that quickly and effortlessly will lock and unlock the clear plastic cassette spools into place. This is all performed using a small switch located on the inside of the reel which is easy to operate even with cold hands or bulky gloves on. This innovative design makes it quick and easy to change fly lines whilst fishing, right on the river bank or in your boat.

The use of the CLS design produces less stress on the other working parts on the reel, giving this reel more durability and a longer life span. On the outside of the reel, there is a metal locking cap to that holds the reel together securely. This cap has been intelligently designed so it does not come all the way off when changing spools, giving you less chance of losing it.

On each of the three provided clear polycarbonate CLS spools, you will find the unique Hardy Line ID system. This line ID system is a simple yet effective way to help you identify what line type you are using without the use of stickers or marker pen. Provided with your reel, you will receive a pack of reusable pins that you can use to mark the line type and this can easily be changed whenever you change your line.

The reel features a centralised twin Rulon disc drag that gives incredibly smooth line control. The overall large arbour design will help produce faster retrieval and minimise line memory.

The Hardy Ultralite CLS Reel reel is supplied with three spools and line ID pins allowing you to hold at least three lines with you at all times. A Hardy neoprene reel and spool case is also supplied with every reel.
