The angler can never have enough memories of those great fishing moments – well now with the HERO, the one that got away is “captured” in 1080 HD and you can share the moment and re-live it time and time again. Even the grand-kids will have to believe you.

At Angling Active we are very excited about the amount of technology you get for your money with this camera. We think it is the best value product we have seen in a long time and every angler can use it.

You can film at 30fps at 1080p or even 60fps at 720p to catch every detail in slo-mo. You can take wide view 5mp still images. The burst mode function takes 5 still images per second ensuring you get the ultimate shot of the fish going in the net, and then there is the fantastic time lapse feature allowing you to capture the sun rising as you fish dawn, or the river rising in a storm.

There are lots of automatic features that mean you don't have to worry about the amount of light in the shot, or focus, and the “superview” means that up to 170 degrees is captured depending on the resolution you choose so you are confident the action is in frame.

The downsides are minimal: There is no wifi connectivity to use with the app, and the battery is integrated into the camera so you have to charge it as opposed to changing the battery, but the battery life is exceptional - more than enough for a day outing capturing the best moments. Additionally, as with all cameras, you have to purchase a memory card on top of the HERO. It is recommended you purchase up to 32gb Mico SD cards for the HERO. We have these available in store.

Additionally, most of the existing GoPro mounts and accessories work with the HERO.
