Which kit should I buy?
Its best to choose your fly fishing outfit based on the venues you intend to fish the most. So the smaller rods are more suited to river fishing than large stillwaters, whereas you may struggle to fish with a larger rod on a small river. There are always exceptions to the rule but as a general guide we would choose the following:
Choose the powerful 10ft #7/8 kit for most large lochs, lakes and reservoirs or our 9ft #6/7 kit for small still waters. The 8ft6 #4/5 kit is ideal for small streams and rivers and the powerful 9ft #8/9 is ideal for tackling heavier species like pike or saltwater fish.
